The Death and Resurrection Of Our World

Episode 19: “Who is Going to Kill One Third of Mankind? — The Death and Resurrection of Our World

Tectonic Ministries Season 1 Episode 19

In this gripping episode, we confront one of the most intense and controversial questions in all of Scripture: Who is going to kill one third of mankind? We explore biblical prophecy concerning the return of Jesus Christ, the rapture, and the cataclysmic events surrounding the end times.

Through Scripture—not speculation—we unpack common misunderstandings about the rapture (pre-trib, mid-trib, post-trib), examine the Feast of Tabernacles, and highlight God's divine plan for both judgment and restoration. This isn’t fear-mongering—it’s truth straight from the Word of God.

🔔 This is not a message of doom, but of hope. Christ is returning—not just to judge, but to redeem, to reign, and to restore the world.

📖 Key Scriptures Covered:

  • Revelation 19:11–21 – Christ returns on a white horse, with the armies of heaven, to strike down the nations and judge in righteousness.
  • Isaiah 63:1–6 – Jesus alone treads the winepress of God’s wrath, covered in blood from defeating His enemies.
  • Zechariah 12–14 – The nations gather against Jerusalem, but the Lord returns to fight for His people.
  • 1 Thessalonians 4:13–18 – The rapture explained: the dead in Christ rise first, then we who are alive are caught up together with them.
  • Matthew 24 & Mark 13 – Jesus’ own words about the signs of the end, His return, and how to remain watchful.
  • Zechariah 14:16–19 – Those who do not celebrate the Feast of Tabernacles will face judgment during the Millennial reign.

💡 Main Takeaways:

  • The Feast of Tabernacles is deeply prophetic and will be celebrated in eternity (Zechariah 14:16).
  • Christ’s second coming is not a secret event—it will be unmistakable and powerful.
  • Many popular end-time teachings miss the simplicity and clarity of Scripture.
  • God calls us to know His Word personally—not just through preachers or YouTube videos, but by seeking Him ourselves.

👉 Don’t be deceived. Don’t be afraid. Be prepared.

Hello again and welcome back. We're going to get into the topic of the Lord's
return, commonly referred to as the rapture.
And then there's obviously all the things that get wrapped up in that and people
talk about the secret rapture and misunderstandings of scripture that are associated
with all that sort of stuff. So it's going to be a bit of theology to work
through and some obviously we'll be reading a bit from the Bible itself to
understand it better. We were speaking earlier about that we're not going to get
overly involved in all the nuances of it but I guess we just kind of need to
address some of the misunderstandings that are quite common and have a look at what
scripture really says and because there's quite a few very prominent theologies that
are out there that that can be
um refuted it with just a substantial understanding of scripture and we don't need
to get overly involved in all the nuances of each particular one but we just want
to just have a good fundamental understanding to move forward so that um so that
people can have a factual understanding of the topic and again like we've said about
many other topics, the responsibility is on us as individuals to seek out Scripture.
I feel as though there's a lot of people that will, and I'm a sucker for it
myself, you go looking for someone else's opinion in order to be able to form your
own whereas we actually have we have the Bible and God's given us to us for a
reason. Otherwise you just would have revealed it unto a select few and then they'd
just pass it on to us But that's the beauty of a of a personal God and a Creator
who wants to have personal relationship with us all is that we have we can
personally Read his his word and we live in a world now of literacy rates that
have never been known before on earth and we have smart devices so there's no
excuse really for us to not seek scripture for ourselves. So we but again we want
to provide some foundational understanding for people who might almost be starting
from scratch and just really give a good overview of that. So do you want to start
with some scripture to kind of set the scene or do you want to address maybe some
of the understandings that are most common, and then let's address them through
scripture. I think a good place to start is, this is the most important date in
the history of the universe.
The most important date previous to this was the first coming of Jesus Christ. So
we're talking about in the history of history, ever since birth of creation,
right through to the new creation, which we've spoken about. This is going to be
the most important day ever. The Jewish people understand this far more than us.
They understand and they celebrate the Feast of Tabernacles. The Feast of Tabernacles
is the number one feast that Israelis acknowledge. We know nothing about it.
I don't know a truth. As a general rule, yeah. No, we don't know anything about
it. We to Easter and we get Christmas and Easter is supposed to be like Passover
and Christmas is supposed to be like the coming of Christ. And we now know that
Jesus didn't come on the 25th of December, that came out of the birth of the new,
the solstice where the shortest day turned into started to become the new longer
day, so it was in the northern hemisphere and the sun was recoming out and it come
from Sun worship, basically, that's where we get Christmas from. The Feast of
Tabernacles was when they knew Messiah was coming, clearly in Scripture.
Zechariah 14 then tells us if we don't celebrate the Feast of Tabernacles in the
Eternity, this will be a never -ending feast that we will celebrate the coming of
Jesus Christ. This is when He came the first time around October, September, early
October. The Feast of Tabernacles this year is on the 5th of October to the 13th.
That's the day, that's the celebration we should be having and churches should be
having every year. This is a huge mistake and the Scriptures tell us very clearly
if you don't go and celebrate the Feast of Tabernacles God won't give you any rain.
And then by the way, the plagues that Jesus inflicts on the earth when he comes
back, they'll be on your nation. So this is very important and it's very important
to understand particularly the words of Jesus Christ and what he said about this
date and this time. So we go and we look at
early,
Matthew 24 and Mark 13, Jesus distinctly tells us what will happen.
In Scripture, what you have to do, you have to, we all have to do as Christians.
We have to take the words of Jesus Christ and we place them at a level much
higher than anything else. If We then look at other Scripture and we feel it
conflicts. You need to keep reading and seeking God and talking to God and
developing a relationship until that Scripture conforms to the words of Jesus Christ.
Here's the Word of God. So here's the Bible from Genesis 1 to Revelation 22.
Here's the Word of God. So when He speaks and He speaks himself.
Here's the word, speaking of the word. So he's the word of words,
you know, like King of Kings, Lord of Odds. He's the word of words. So we look at
that and then we look at what are some beliefs and people have a pre -tribulation
rapture, a mid -tribulation rapture, a post -tribulation rapture, and there's all of
this confusion where what I'd like us to do is look at probably more the events
when you look at the events that have got to happen when Jesus comes back purely
from Scripture nowhere else we don't pull from anywhere else or don't get our
understanding from man's understanding or man's interpretation we just take Scripture,
Scripture just clearly tells us this that that And we look at the events and I
believe then that will help us settle in our minds because of the events that are
going to happen, it will settle in our mind as to when the rapture takes place. So
if we start to look at the events and we'll just work this between us,
and then we need to bear in mind that these events that we're all going to go
through the scriptures talks about they happen in the twinkling of an eye like
milliseconds all of these events that we're going to look at they happen and the
scripture again clearly tells us that and there these events basically the end of
our world, but the birth of the new world. So we look at starting from heaven.
Let's look at that and maybe Jay start us on the first scriptures here in
Revelation 19. Revelation 19, 11 through 21.
Now I saw heaven opened and behold a white horse, and he who sat on him was
called faithful and true, and in righteousness he judges and makes war. His eyes
were like a flame of fire, and on his head were many crowns. He had a name
written that no one knew except him. He was clothed with a robe dipped in blood,
and his name is called the word of God. The armies in heaven clothed in white
linen, white and clean followed him on white horses. Now out of his mouth goes a
sharp sword that with it he should strike the nations and he himself will rule them
with a rod of iron. He himself treads the wine press of the fierceness and wrath
of Almighty God. Then I saw an angel standing in the sun and he cried with a loud
voice saying to all the birds that fly in the midst of heaven come and gather
together for the supper of the great God that you made the flesh of kings, the
flesh of captains, the flesh of mighty men, the flesh of horses and those who sit
on them, and the flesh of all people, free and slave, both great and small. And I
saw the beast, the kings of the earth, and their armies gathered together to make
war against him who sat on the horse and against his army. And the beast was
captured and with him the false prophet who worked signs in his presence by which
he deceived those who received the mark of the beast and those who worshiped his
image. These two were cast alive into the lake of fire burning with brimstone and
the rest were killed with the sword which proceeded from the mouth of him who sat
on the horse, and all the birds were filled with their flesh.
So we've read here, this is Jesus coming back, so we're starting from heaven.
We look at Isaiah 63 particularly, 63 verses 1 to 6. We have a similar recorded
account, and where Jesus is walking, dripping in blood,
and he says, "I have trod the wine press of God, of the wrath of God alone, by
myself. I had to do this by myself." He's the one that has to do it. And he's
dripping in blood with wiping out these armies of the world that want to destroy
our planet and destroy all mankind and destroy Israel. We see in Zechariah 12,
chapters 12 to 14, the same account of Jesus coming back.
So we look at that, and then we gather from Scripture these events of Him coming
and what He's going to do. As I say, in this millisecond of time,
all of these events happening. That's part of the events, part of the start of the
returning of Christ. Do you guys have thoughts on that first element?
We're just talking about here from Revelation 19, Osiris 63, Zechariah 12 -14.
Do you have any thoughts or comment on that? - Yeah, well, man, as I've shared with
you before,
and as we preface, there is a wide range of views for timing and frankly I'm still
wrestling through some of these issues over the years with maturity and growth and
understanding of scripture I've made some shifts but what where I land Christ is
coming back and Christ is coming to set things right. And some of the setting right
of what he's going to do is with a sword. You know, to satisfy the wrath of God,
he's already given himself for us, but he is going to put all of the remaining
enemies to rest. So, you know, for me, I think it is important to look at consider
timing to consider timelines, because Scripture does address these things, but where
I'm at and what really helped me,
and again, I don't want to diminish the importance of these things, but in the
midst of this, even as those who are watching, who are listening to this, are kind
of wrestling through this themselves, and I agree fully with how Isaac started that,
indeed, we need to go to scripture ourselves. In the midst of this,
don't lose sight of Christ.
And I heard a man speak on this years ago, and that was how he started.
We can look at the horns and the bowls and the symbolism and the literalism, but
remember, this is ultimately a revelation of Jesus Christ himself, and when he does
what he does is going to be a reflection of who he is, and again those grand
purposes. So that brother that's my thoughts, I know again it doesn't so much a
dress timeline, but I'm thankful that we have a Lord who is going to come and
catch his bride away. And I love what Thessalonian says when he's talking about the
Lord himself coming with a shout, with a cry of command,
the voice of an archangel, the sound of the trumpet, the dead in Christ rising
first, we who are alive are going to be caught up together, but he closes these
comfort one another with these words. And what a comforting topic we're talking
about, but when you're hearing about the sword and you know the splitting of the
mountain and the earthquakes and all of these sayings it can seem kind of scary but
it's meant to be a comfort to us because God's going to make everything right.
So yeah the key scriptures and we'll go through that at the end and if people are
watching please get a pen and a piece of paper and write down the key scriptures
we're talking about and then you can read them yourself and you'll start to see
what I've perceived as how it will all happen and how it will all happen in this
but happen so fast and consecutively. And so what Jay was just talking about there
is one Thessalonians for 13 to 18.
And Paul starts, "Look, I don't want you to be ignorant. I want you to have a
really clear picture of this. Those that have fallen asleep because the people were
saying, "Well, what about those that have died? What about we that are alive? What's
going to happen?" And Paul explains it here that Jesus will be coming,
bringing His saints with Him, not only His and He's the heavenly, the army,
Jesus, one of the names of God is Adonis Fouad, which is the Lord of hosts,
the Lord of armies. God's a man of war. You don't get on the wrong side of this
God of war. So He's coming with this army, with the saints that have died in
Christ. And the Scriptures tell us what we caught up to meet them in the air,
receiving our new bodies, then coming back to this earth. So we'll have a break
there and I think that's a great place to leave it.
